Brighton MI senior teammates Jack Spamer and Zachary Stewart finished 19th and 26th at the Foot Locker National Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif. Spamer covered the 5-kilometer course in 15:42.6 and Stewart, who was 17th last season in 15:56.7, clocked 15:55.2 in his return to the national final. Spamer and Stewart are the third set of Michigan teammates to qualify for the national championship meet in the same year. Spamer also placed 17th one week ago at Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Ore.
