Harrison Schrage, who finished sixth in the NCAA long jump competition last week for UCLA, joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss the upcoming U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene. Schrage was a high school standout at Portland's Grant High School and won four consecutive Class 6A long jump titles at Historic Hayward Field. Schrage discusses his thoughts on the new stadium after jumping 25-8.25 in the NCAA finals. Although he did not achieve the automatic qualifying standard, Schrage's best mark this season of 26-1.75 (7.97m) put him in the top 24 and he wil compete at the Trials. Long jump qualifying for men is on Day 8, June 25. Schrage, who began his collegiate career at Arkansas, talks about his transfer to UCLA and how he spent his time during the COVID-19 pandemic at home in Portland.
