As the leaders approached the two-mile point, Anna Rohrer knew it was time to make her move. 

Never mind the insane early pace. Never mind the massive hill looming just ahead. 

There was a national championship on the line. And it was time to go. 

Now. 

“I knew the pack couldn’t hold together much longer, and we were coming up on that (huge) hill,” said Rohrer, a Mishawaka High School sophomore. “I just thought, ‘It’s now or never,’ and I went.”
