Cocoa Beach junior excited for challenge BY MARK DeCOTIS • FLORIDA TODAY • December 8, 2010 Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High junior Shelby Davidson faces a tall order in Saturday's Foot Locker Cross Country Championships national meet in San Diego. The lone Brevard County runner in the girls race and one of only three Floridians (the others being the Fluehrs of Community School of Naples -- state Class 1A champion Erika and Foot Locker regional winner Kathryn), Davidson will be on her own in the 40-competitor field.
