Payton Meineke, a sophomore at Riverdale Ridge High in Colorado, finished 16th place in the 5-kilometer girls championship race in 18:08.4 at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif. Meineke also placed 37th at Nike Cross Nationals, making her debut at both national championship races this season.
